Tiger “Step-ins” Plastic Pants available in solid colors?

Our Tiger “Step-Ins” plastic pants have been on the market for over a year now and been a huge success!  The demand for these water proof pants far succeeded even our own expectations and have been popular for all ages, not just the young and old.  One example of this has been Mom’s with boys in the age range between 8 to 14 years old.  Combined with our Tiger training pants, it offers help for bedwetters as well as for extra protection on long road trips where safe, sanitary bathroom cannot be found.  “Goodnites” are expensive and are noisy when worn.  Our Tiger training pants can be worn as regular underwear and the plastic pants doesn’t need to be put on until bed time.  Unlike plastic disposables, they don’t make that crinkle sound when worn during the daytime and are reusable.  In the end, you’ll save money and save the earth!

We have plenty of adult men that are customers as well. They too have enjoyed  the comfort and security of our extra thick Tiger training pants and are surprised by the buttery softness of these plastic pants and the protection it offers.

One of our customers felt it was important to get the message out to all men who need to wear plastic pants at age 40 doesn’t mean your “over-the-hill”.  He said this about our Tiger “Step-Ins”,

You have an absolutely super product in the Step-Ins plastic pants.  The feel and fit is nothing short of the best.  I have worn plastic pants for years and have never found any that even remotely compare to your Step-Ins plastic pants.

The very soft and supple yet durable plastic is unsurpassed and I can tell that they will last for a long time.  Combined with your four layer thick Men’s Training Briefs you have an unbeatable combination.

Remember Training Pants are available in white as well as colors too.

I’m one of those “over the hill gang” who wear the step- ins, for economic, ecological, and for reasons of personal dignity. I would definitely purchase these comfortable pants in a red or blue color close to the current deep color of the trainers. Good Idea!

  • Jonathan says:

Thanks for updating the photos on your main page. Although “Caleb” shows off your products very well, I still like the variety of your last update when you shared images from many of the older, “classic” catalogs.

  • Jonathan says:

I don’t know how you make money on your Step-in plastic pants. I purchased four pair when you first introduced them and they are still like new. Of course, I can say the same thing about the training pants I also purchased. Most other companies that I have bought from make pants that get stiff and crinkly after just a couple of washes but your stay so soft and comfortable that they don’t have to be replaced nearly as quickly as inferior competition pants. I also agree that multicolored plastic pants would be fun to wear.

  • Hank says:

On the colored step-ins: Definitely dark blue would be good. Not sure a red one. They might be a little blinding! And definitely not pastels as most self-respecting boys and men would prefer not to be dressed in too girly a looking clothing.

  • Matt says:

I wonder if its possible to get a pattern or print design on the plastic pants. If you can get a pattern or print on them they can be more than just protection but fun too. That could help kids that wet the bed feel better about wearing them if they had a cool design on them.

  • Jason says:

One of ours has been using the Tiger Trainers and Step-ins for over a year now. To offer solid colors would be a good idea as in the warm weather having a solid color on would be a good idea when in bed and in the time before bed.
    Absolutely approve!

  • GLENN WILLAUER says:

I would definitely like to have color Step-Ins. It would brighten my day!

  • Bill says:

    Great idea!!!

I think a Sky Blue would be great seller…

  • Jonathan says:

I agree a light blue would look best and be more easily accepted by most young users.

  • Scott says:

Definete approve on either solid colors or prints, this would help my son remember putting one on before bedtime, this way he knows which color he has used, sometimes he tends to forget if he used the step-ins or not, I’m trying to make him independent in using them

  • Chris says:

I would like to buy the step-ins but feel that in the hot weather you would probably start to sweat in them. Does anybody experience this problem?

  • sborden says:

Answering Chris’s question- It probably depends on where you live. I’m in California and never really feel uncomfortable because of sweating. If it’s hot outside, your Tiger Trainer briefs may be slightly moist but the outside of your suit pants, levi’s, Kahki’s, bermuda shorts will be dry becuase of the protection of the Step-Ins. You should try them.

  • Mike says:

I would LOVE to have the step-ins in colors! Fun, fashionable, and easier to remember which ones I used last so I don’t keep washing and re-using the same pair. As an adult bed and pants wetter, I absolutely love the comfort and security of my Tigers trainers and Step-Ins!

  • Krissie says:

It is great to see that you are bringing wearing plastic pants to the main stream. There are just so many dangers associated with public rest rooms. From filthy hygene to who know who is in there. My husband and I started to wear protection after a nasty incident some years ago and we now have our kids wear it too as there are often occasions when we are out and there just are no acceptable public restrooms available. However there is a stigma associated with this and I am greatful that people like you are making it all the more visible. I have to say though that unfortunatly the disposables seem to have much greater absorbancy.

  • Jonathan says:

While its true that disposables are more absorbent, that is usually because of gels and chemicals which have environmental consequences. In addition, its possible that because of that feature, your child might not “feel” wet and will remain in the wet diaper longer than necessary. And of course, wearing cotton allows the child to get immediate feedback when s/he wets and may become more aware of and more in control of their wetting schedule and triggers.
So both products have advantages and both have their place.

  • Mike says:

I agree with all Krissie says; my nine year old has always been a bedwetter and now much prefers to wear tiger trainers and plastic pants to wearing disposables.
After an incident when we couldn’t find a clean bathroom in time he often wears two pairs of trainers with plastic pants over them if “bathroom breaks” are likey to be a problem while we are out.
It’s improved his confidence a lot and he knows it’s no problem to us if he has to “use his trainers” as we call it.
In answer to Chrissie’s last point about absorbancy, I would say teach your kids to wet in their trainers slowly over a period of time and to sit down if possible when they begin to urinate;that way the moisture is absorbed by more of the material in the main part of the trainers rather than just pooling in the crotch area
